Holidays for Clearing & Settlement

These are the days on which trading on the stock exchanges is allowed, but settlements don't happen on that day either because the banks or closed or depositories are closed. So, it might take an extra day for the shares to get deposited to your demat account or an extra day for you to get your money in your trading account.
